After many many drawings and brainstorming, something came into my minds - beauty & beast. Once this was my favorite movie when I was a child. I remember the rose in the glass which is beautiful and mysterious. Since my thoughts contains the same idea of transparency material like this, glass - rose becomes my original thought so that I can get deep into this making the final one.
Drawing & drawing again. Keep thinking and making progress for this idea. Put a finger in a transparency box? No, that's scared. Short the box that I want like a UFO. But the feedback I got from the class is that UFO-shape is so common in food package.
Make change of shape is one good direction for me now. So, let's see the final one. To be honest, I like this so much. But...
The disadvantage of this is that it's too small for craft. After the idea down to the earth, I started making models:
Final one is like this:
Basically, the material I used is listed above in picture. Well...someone confused about lace, I choose lace because the small tiny model is not so easy to manipulate so the standing for the ring-watch is not so beautiful but a little ugly. So I choose the lace which is also a little transparency and meanwhile it's looks grace, lace covered the ugly part for this model.
At last it turns out that few people love it... What a pity...for my idea.
Thanks for viewing~

ReplyDeleteGreat job on your packaging project. I must say that you are very honest in your reflections of your own work and I believe that to be so important for developing as well as professional designers. It allows you to reflect on your decisions and improve upon them. It’s great to see pictures of your process, but I would love to see a picture of your final packaging project as well to refresh my memory on the craft details!
My only comment for you today is more of a question I suppose: How does your packaging relate to your previous advertisement? And how will they both relate to your display? Keep that in mind and I’m sure your display will be great as well!
