Containment!

Package design for my object. More and more people pay more attention on package design, why? For merchant，goods with a good package could selling in a high price than a normal one. For customer, like me, I will more treasure a well packaged object than a poor one. Package promote the goods with brand, color, shape and so on.

Remember my object? The ring like a watch.

For some sketch drawing, I made lots imaging what it would like, because I always have many ideas, but as is known to everyone, most ideas can't come true, so I drew a lots: (Usually, ring always lay in a box, a cube or that kind of box)

this is just a interesting one only for drew and wide my minds

For designers, we should consider the customers(who will buy it, age, gender);product - do they keep the container after open it or they just throw away them; For myself, make full use of my own experience and design style. 

For example, most jewelry's packages are not only package help promoting but a container for customer who will buy the product. 

As customers, let's consider the lazy group of the people, for them, they would like to buy a easy-open container than a complex one, right? Who want to buy a box that one don't know how to open it...especially for a ring.

As object itself, they want to find a master and have a nice coat(container), so the coat need to made to measure!

Branding! 【Final】

Color: Marker Pen RP6, PB76(77), 48.
Media: Hand drafting or Sketching.

Notion: a series of posters. with "love", "good", "party on",orchid finger, etc.
showing that how to wear, why wear, when and who will choose this. 

An advertisement for the piece of jewelry, represent its unique quality.

Branding! 【Process】

My object is different from the first one. A ring that also looks like a watch. This project goals to design a poster for branding, promoting.

For this jewelry, I want to show how it's wear and the effects. The unique for this piece of jewelry is that it's not a ring but a watch. Then I can't help to thinking of the color on the ring - green? I think they must have more styles for color! Pink, Blue or Purple...

- So first I get  more colors by Photoshop:

- This looks like a poster, but we can't recognize whether it's a watch or a ring. How you wear it? Brainstorms~~~~~ wear, how, hand, finger! I used to wear on forefinger, sometimes on middle or ring finger also. Gesture! Deaf - mute express themselves by gesture! So why can't I use this approach to layout my ring. 

- We have many kind of gestures in the world （find on a website):

- some indicates "love", some shows "good", well...I don't know others of them. But the spelling finger I know is enough for my project. 

Post Card (T T)

Well, for the first assignment - postcard. I didn't do a well work. Because I didn't take the size of the postcard into consideration which is 4*6, and I make it as an ad. So people couldn't discern the main thought or object I want to layout. 


Actually, I have made 2 samples and choose a bad one...as you could see as followed:

- my first sample, which I realize is the best one now

 - second one 1.0version, no text, only photos, pearl is 
object I choose 

- final one, a deer with the pearl on its horn...and make 
that area lightening more than the rest. Make the object - pearl outstanding.

REVIEW

After review the several sketchblogs, I have to say that they are all awesome! First, they insist doing sketch all the time, and they post continually about their ideas, thoughts, paintings. Well, for me, I have a Wacom, but I only draw a few paintings after I bought it, then I never used that again till now.  

Second, all the designers or painters for the link have a good drawing skills. The best one I like as the follows, here is the link: http://www.andreajoseph24.blogspot.com/. The blog style is concise and simple. From her work, I saw a series of drawing about shoes: board shoe, high heeled shoes, etc. That's impressive! Because ladies always couldn't ignore the shoes! Also, that's reminds me the time for my undergraduate, we have a project required us to design a sport shoe. In order to design our own shoes, we have learned something about shoes, for example: air cushion, the shape of the sport shoe, materials, the basic price and so on. In addition, Andrea's painting is also neat and fluent, you could find it in the picture I attached. I like this one the most:

beautiful and vivid, shaped well, simple color

See the man and the women? I like that so much, passion and attractive, too much beyond the words. And the interesting composing. 

Another thing makes her work stands out for me is that her words, as you know I just arrived in the United States, my skills of reading and vocabulary in describing is still need improvement. However, I can easily understand her sentences, or in other words, reading her words is not hard for me. So that's the third reason.

That's all the thing for my first post. Hope that's not boring!
